jdrama: the japanese live action adaptation
In the Japanese live action, Soujirou was played by Matsuda Shouta and Yuki was played by Nishihara Aki.

Season 1, episode 7
Yuki begins to fall for Soujirou around this time, but there aren't any other parts from season one to follow up on the relationship. The Japanese live action does change Yuki's character as she is more attached to Soujirou and chases him wherever he goes. In the last episode, Yuki chases after Soujirou because he told her that if he had time, he would go out with her.
In season two, the series continues developing their relationship. The story with Sara was a little different in the version as they gave Soujirou a brother. Soujirou had cared about Sara but was misled to believe that she liked his brother, so he was unable to make himself go to the building Sara waiting on. Yuki later discovers that she was part of the reason why Soujirou and Sara did not meet on the building.

Season 2, episode 7
When Yuki learns about Sara, she goes in search of the building that Sara waited for Soujirou on. Finding the building was for Soujirou and for herself. She had made a mistake when she answered Soujirou's question of whether or not he should go to a confession at six in the morning on top of the building. They both assumed because it was to see Tokyo Tower, which was why they found the gesture to be outrageous.
Their relatioship was not as developed like in the manga or in Meteor Garden, but Soujirou did admit to Yuki that she changed him. He was able to take the last step he was always afraid of, and because of that he finally learned that Sara had loved him too.
